The blacksmith does not use only one of the four elements, the fire, but all four, the iron from the soil, the air in the forge and the water for cooling. But just fire along with hammers and human force can shape the "lifeless" iron. Each brand or trace in a hot hammered detail represents therefore the four elements submission to human creativity. This, to pic up a non worked and dead metal piece, intercept in it in the fire and to redesign it to something that has been sketched or only been intended is a fantastic experience, perhaps that’s the same when a musician types and plays his own written paragraph musical. In the blacksmith shop the products are created. Ideas has been steadied and been bled in the thought and on sketches. Sometimes, I do models in other materials. Really big things are made in smaller scale models. The fragrance of sculptures and carbons are woven together with the heat from the forge. The work sometimes become heavy and sweaty, but it is worth it when the completed work of art stands there in all its splendor.
